My name is Eward Duigenan and I’m an Irish born artist living in Colombia. My work varies from painting, drawing and sculpture. My work is about my identity as a foreigner and a certain nostalgia I feel for home. Some works are based on personalities from Colombian history.

Soy un nativo de Irlanda. En 1989 me gradué como Maestro en Artes en el College of Marketing and Design, de Dublín. Laboré durante un año en el instituto St. Kiran’s, como profesor de arte. En 1990 deje el arte por un periodo de catorce años. En este tiempo recorrí varios países del mundo.
En 1996 llegué a Colombia. Viví en Tulúa y Manizales antes de llegar a Medellín. En el año 2003 me reencontré con el arte. Actualmente soy dedicado al arte y soy profesor de inglés en la universidad EAFIT.

Hi Eddie.
I am a friend of your brother John Albert. I am here in the dock with him now and he has just shown me your site. Reallly nice work. In fact some of Johnny’s paintings are a little bit like some of yours.
Johnny said he never saw these photos of you.
I didn’t believe he had a twin brother until now. He’s got imaginary friends you know? so as I never saw any evidence of family I assumed they were imaginary too!
